BioOver the course of three years, Vanessa Tiegs created 88 paintings to affirm the bright red cycle -- the hidden forbidden monthly renewal process.

Vanessa donates proceeds from the sale of originals and color prints to The Centre for Menstrual Cycle and Ovulation Research at the University of British Columbia.

The menstrual cup or moon cup makes collecting the blood possible. Mixing the blood with acrylic gloss provides a protective seal that preserves the redness and prevents flaking.
