| Red Moon Eclipse Photos |

Our great spiraling moon was dark red, big and full last night during her spectacular eclipse by the earth's shadow. I went to watch the event down by the Embarcadero near the foot of the Bay Bridge in San Francisco. Somehow I missed the early moments of the moon rising because it was already in its totality while on the rise and hard to spot. Also, I wasn't looking in the right direction. It rose a little further southeast in the sky than I expected. Nevertheless, at the first moment I saw the moon, it was very exciting and this is what I saw. It was my first shot. I took the picture using my Nikon 5700 Coolpix mounted on a tripod at 4 second exposure / 4.2 F stop.
